Laura Day Rebollo
Sand, sea, land and sky, these are nature’s gift to humanity and my painting reflects its beauty.
I enjoy painting in acrylic and pastel to bring life to whatever subject I am working on. Most of my work is done on canvas, paper, or repurposed boxes. All are one of a kind and based on personal photos or from others that I have been commissioned to paint. Commissioned jobs are always a welcome discussion. Stop by the museum to see the work in my studio space on the third floor.
At my art studio, I paint ocean scenes and Florida landscapes in acrylic on canvas. When painting, it is my goal to bring the viewer to a place of serenity, fond memories, and reflection of the beauty all around us.
One of my unique specialties is hand painting on cigar boxes that are not only beautiful but serve as a dual purpose for the collector, a work of art and a small handy storage place.
I have been painting for over 40 years with various mediums and tools of the trade from watercolors, pastel, printmaking, oils and acrylic and I am always looking for new inspirations and themes to paint such as my Florida Everglades series and beach driftwood series.
