Fort Lauderdale Walking Tour
A guided leisurely stroll through the early days of Fort Lauderdale along the New River. This tour includes admission to the History Museum, the Pioneer House Museum and the 1899 Schoolhouse Museum for private guided tour. The tour will take 2 hours with less than a mile of walking.

New River Dig
In this hands-on experience visitors will conduct an archaeological excavation using the tools
and techniques of the field. After fully documenting artifacts from your assigned investigative
site, the entire team will reassemble to compare findings and formulate a hypothesis of what the site might have been. Afterwards visitors will tour History Fort Lauderdale’s 3 museums which include archaeological artifacts from multiple local investigations.

History Fort Lauderdale General Admission includes:
- Open-air museum of early Florida architecture in the wood and masonry
vernacular. The largest concentration of historic buildings remaining in Broward. - History Museum housed in the 1905 National Register New River Inn. Includes exhibits
of Archaeology, Seminole Culture, Military and Regional History. - Pioneer House Museum – set as if the family will return at any moment for Sunday supper. Features a large collection of antique dolls and toys.
- 1899 Schoolhouse Museum – complete with wooden desks & McGuffey readers.
